Visitors to Noah’s Ark are still amazed at the interaction between Baloo, Shere Khan and Leo. Not only do they co-exist, they display affection for each other — playing, eating and sleeping together just as if they were from the same “litter.” We call them “brothers from another mother.” You can visit these three throughout the year, along with all of their other animal friends. Just be sure to tell them that you came especially to see them!
Caleb’s Story – Caleb is one of thousands of orphaned children in the country of Haiti — a country that is still struggling to find relief following the earthquake in January, 2010. Fortunately for Caleb, who was found in a crude toilet, people like Bro. Manius Vixamar, minister, are finding ways to help provide for some of these children. Bro. Vixamar is the preacher/evangelist for Eglise du Christ de Church of Christ (Petion-ville, Haiti — http://www.egliseduchristdepv.org) which supports 17 congregations. In addition, he oversees 17 church schools and multiple orphanages. In early 2011, Providence intervened and introduced Bro. Vixamar to Noah’s Ark…and thus began a story of hope (click here for more of Caleb’s story — and to see how you can help)
Little Anne and Doc are still growing…and growin…growing! They can be seen Tues-Sat (they are on the “back side” of Bagheera the leopard’s habitat — separated by a fence, of course!) T hey will soon outgrow this space l — that’s where YOU can help!
If you would like to make a donation to help Little Anne, Doc and Leonard have their own habitat, it would be greatly appreciated! For more information about costs for funding their habitat, please email noah@noahs-ark.org. Thank you!
Would you like an opportunity to be part of an exciting new venture at Noah’s Ark? We are looking for sponsors to build a new Parrot Aviary. We have a large population of birds that are in need of new habitats. These beautiful feathered friends range from African grey parrots, to Amazon parrots, small cockatoos, large cockatoos, smaller parrots such as Rosellas and Senegals, cockatiels - and other extra small parrots such as love birds and conures. Take a look at this and see if you want to be a part of helping these wonderful creatures have more room to spread their wings. Call 770–957-0888 and ask to speak with Allison.
Many people don’t realize that it takes about $12,000 PER MONTH to feed the animals at Noah’s Ark. That’s why we can use your help! Some animals eat hay and sweet feed; some meat and feline diet; others like fresh fruits and vegetables…and even peanut butter. Please make a tax deductible donation today. (Noah’s Ark is a non-profit organization and relies solely on donations. Thank you for your support!) See Feed List
Give a gift that lasts forever (they make a great Christmas gift)!
