Noah’s Ark’s own BLT: Watch the National Geographic segment  on our photo/video page

Baloo recently got caught snoozing, sprawled out on the Clubhouse porch. What you can’t see in this photo are Shere Khan and Leo taking their own naps on the other side of the porch!  Spring visitors are coming by the droves (hurray!) and are enjoying catching a glimpse of these “brothers.”

Check out photos of the BLT and friends on our FLIKR page! You can watch them on Nat Geo’s Unlikely Animal Friends 2. Continue to watch for updates on  Noah’s Ark Clubhouse fanpage.  If you still haven’t had enough, see them on YouTube video and on the Today Show! and CNN.

A GREAT BIG NOAH’S ARK THANK YOU — Georgia Gwinnett College made Noah’s Ark their semester project and created tons of marketing deliverables for us — signs, banners, logo, volunteer packages, and so much more. What a blessing from God!! Thank you, GGC, for giving of your wonderful talents. More pics to follow next week!

It’s time for Noah’s Ark Adventure Safari overnight Camps!  The camps are scheduled for June 1–2 and June 15–16.

Just a brief update – Caleb has been very sick, but Jama is in Haiti with him and Joshua now. She is awaiting travel clearance to bring the boys home.

Caleb and Joshua are among thousands of orphaned children in the country of Haiti — a country that is still struggling to find relief following the earthquake in January, 2010. Fortunately for Caleb (who was found in a crude toilet) and Joshua, people like Bro. Manius Vixamar, minister, are finding ways to help provide for some of these children. Bro. Vixamar is the preacher/evangelist for Eglise du Christ de Church of Christ (Petion-ville, Haiti — http://www.egliseduchristdepv.org) which supports 17 congregations. In addition, he oversees 17 church schools and multiple orphanages.   In early 2011, Providence intervened and introduced Bro. Vixamar to Noah’s Ark…and thus began a story of hope (click here for more of the children’s story — and to see how you can help)

Watch a video of some of the children here.
Check out more photos of Caleb, Joshua  and the children in Haiti in Jama’s Facebook photo album.

While Baloo, Shere Khan and Leo are snoozing on one end of the habitat area, Doc and Little Anne are PLAYING on the other side!  Doc has quickly outgrown the little bear cub, but she doesn’t let his size intimidate her. As far as Little Anne is concerned, she is still The Boss!

If you would like to make a donation to help Little Anne and Doc have their own habitat,  it would be greatly appreciated! For more information about costs for funding their habitat, please email noah@noahs-ark.org. Thank you!

Come out and meet Kramer ® and Alvin, two new additions to the Noah’s Ark family. These two handsome fellows are Hamadryas baboons and are from the Old World monkey family. They are native to the Horn of Africa and the southwestern tip of the Arabian Peninsula. They often appear in ancient Egyptian art and were considered sacred. Kramer and Alvin may not be sacred in this society, but they sure seem to be enjoying their new forever home at Noah’s Ark!

Many people don’t realize that it takes over $20,000 PER MONTH (cash and in-kind donations) to feed the animals at Noah’s Ark. That’s why we can use your help! Some animals eat hay and sweet feed; some meat and feline diet; others like fresh fruits and vegetables…and even peanut butter. Please make a tax deductible donation today. (Noah’s Ark is a non-profit organization and relies solely on donations.   Thank you for your support!)   See Feed List

Give a gift that lasts forever  (they make a great Christmas gift)!
