Olive the emu came to Noah’s Ark in 2013 at only a few weeks old. A good samaritan rescued her from a local butcher shop where she was soon to be somebody’s exotic main course. Olive has more personality in one of her feathers than most people do in their entire bodies! She loves playing with other animals, especially her best friend Chelsea the cow. When she’s not running amok around her enclosure, she enjoys bathing in her pool and foraging for bugs in the leaves. Because she is bonded to humans and her cow, Olive doesn’t live with the rest of the emu mob. Instead, she lives in our special needs domestic animals enclosure, which is located in the main animal habitat area.
