Critter Review — Gabby and Tiger Lily

Tiger Lily came to Noah’s Ark in 2008 at the age of three from a private sanctuary in the mid-west. She is very sweet tiger and loves to “talk” with her visitors. Sharing her habitat is Gabby, who came in 2011 at just a little over a year old. Gabby came from an abusive situation and can still be a little reserved around people. While both of these tigers have been domesticated and can never be returned to the wild, they are still magnificent “big cats.”

Critter Review — Bagherra

Bagherra the leopard came to Noah’s Ark in 2005 as a young cub. He is Noah’s Ark’s only leopard. Bagherra is very mischievous and could probably be counted as one of our most dangerous animals. A grown leopard can easily carry an antelope up a tree. They are the most temperamental of the big cats when in captivity.

Critter Review — Little Anne, Doc and Leonard

Little Anne the bear cub was found abandoned in North Georgia following tornadoes in the Spring of 2011. Apparently she and her mother were separated in the storm. The Department of Natural Resources brought her to Noah’s Ark where she began an adventure that few bears have experienced. Her two best friends are young tigers Doc and Leonard — they even share a habitat, eating, playing and sleeping together. Doc and Leonard came with some other tigers who were pulled from a bad situation in another state. Since these three came as babies, they were bottle fed together and began to form a bond. They will be kept together and observed to see if they, like Baloo, Shere Khan and Leo, will form a family unit. In Loving Memory of Evidence

Seldom does a member of the animal kingdom have an impact on hearts and lives like Evidence the zebra. This little, striped wonder survived an apparent fall from a transport truck; was struck and sustained life-threatening injuries by another vehicle; and then survived two major surgeries and a bout of colic that would have killed many horses. He became a symbol of hope and courage, of survival and the “evidence” of what God’s love can accomplish.
