Peachtree Peddlers Antique Mall is hosting a booth to benefit Noah’s Ark. All proceeds from sales from the booth will be donated to Noah’s Ark. Please inquire at Peachtree Peddlers Antique Mall off Jonesboro Road in McDonough, GA behind Sam’s Club.
Discount Tires presented a check to Noah’s Ark Children’s Care Homes for a grant applied for in 2008. Thank you to representative Deanie Hart for bringing the “big check” to Noah’s Ark!
The Early Childhood Learning Center of College Heights made another special trip to Noah’s Ark on May 8th (they came earlier this year for Evidence’s birthday). This time they brought homemade parrot toys for the macaws, African greys, and other tropical birds that live in the habitat. The toys caught the birds’ attention immediately!
How far will a clown go for a laugh? The folks with the clown ministry at Erlanger Christian Church in Erlanger, Kentucky came over 500 miles to bring smiles to the folks at Noah’s Ark and other organizations in the metro-Atlanta area on July 8.
Damon’s Design Studio, McDonough, GA sponsored a “Cuts for Critters” outdoor hair cutting event as a fund raiser for Noah’s Ark on June 20. They netted more than $1,000!
On Saturday, July 11, Books-a-Million hosted another “Noah’s Ark” day at the McDonough, GA store. They will donate 20% of the sales for a portion of that date!
A small group from Delta Clipped Wings visited on July 16 Noah’s Ark — and brought with them a “big check,” representing a $1,000.00 donation to Noah’s Ark!
On July 30, Miss Teen of America paid a visit to Noah’s Ark. Her goal was to greet visitors and learn more about the Ark. When she arrived, it was pouring rain — but she did manage to meet and wow some young visitors — and to tour the habitat in between rain drops!
The Warrior Transition Battalion of Ft. Benning (formerly known as the Wounded Troops Battalion) made a return visit to Noah’s Ark on September 10. The soldiers and their families enjoyed sandwiches donated by Chick-fil-A, goodie bags from the Henry County Chamber of Commerce, and a tram ride around the Noah’s Ark habitat to visit with the animals. The reason they came? To bring a box truck FULL of donations for Noah’s Ark!
