Dr. Karen Thomas Honored

By

Dr. Karen Thomas, known at Noah’s Ark as “Doc T,” was recently recognized as one of the 2010 11 Alive Community Service Award winners.  Each year 11 Alive in Atlanta recognizes eleven community volunteers for their dedicated service to agencies, organizations and individuals in the metro Atlanta community. Noah’s Ark was invited to submit a nominee, and “Doc T!” was the immediate response.  Read her nomination

In addition, she was also recognized on April 29 as Noah’s Ark’s Volunteer of the Year at the 10th Annual Henry Volunteer Recognition Dinner. Congratulations, Doc T, you deserve these honors!

Doc T and her clinic have been my vet for about 20 years. My babies have always had the best care. And when it was time for their passing, I have been allowed to just sit with my baby and cry as long as I needed to before and after they were put to sleep. She and the doctors in her clinic have such compassion. So when I got into rescue and found out she was working with rescue at Noah’s Ark, I was elated and shared it with my rescue group. We now use her services almost exclusively to vet our babies. I thank you, Dr Thomas, and IMPS thanks you for the work you are doing.
