Maggie Mae gets new wheels!

By

Recently Maggie Mae was given a special cart designed for her unique needs. The cart was purchased for Maggie by Dr. John Merrick, a retired veterinarian in Peachtree City, Georgia. It allows her to maneuver better, giving her the freedom to eat, play with her friends, run, and do everything a miniature goat does, including keeping up with her brother, John Tyler. She really enjoys her new cart, and the mobility she deserves. Maggie Mae’s a little warrior and continues to be an inspiration to all that see her. She is thriving at Noah’s Ark.

What an incredible gift it is to see an animal given a chance to overcome!

Your organization and the people that donate their time and services will be blessed by our Lord Jesus. Much happiness and peace to you.

That’s wonderfu! I have seen other animals with similar problems (rear limbs useless from whatever cause) do wonderfully well with carts like this. Thanks to the vet who purchased it. Dr. Merrick continues his animal care even if he’s “retired” in my book!

Her mother had four babies — very unusual. One was stillborn, and the circulation to Maggie Mae’s back legs was cut off. They developed dry gangrene and sloughed off, leaving her with just stubs for back legs. She can balance and walk unassisted, but the cart makes her more mobile.

I am happy for Maggie Mae and her brother. See They were born into our family of goats and she deserved to be around people and we both had to go to work. I have been to see her several times. Thanks to Dr. Derrick for allowing my little friend to be mobile. She has
the sweetest personality and is a happy goat.
